The intent of this training is to provide information and improve understanding of Pressure Area care, your role and responsibilities, legal implications and prevention.
Course Content:
- Highlight the causes of pressure ulcers, prevention and identification.
- Duty of care and law and legislation.
- The skin and the purpose of the skin
- The causes of pressure sores
- Where pressure sores can develop
- The grading of pressure sores
- How to prevent development of sores
- Look at equipment used for supporting and reducing pressure sores
